La conferenciante, asesora estratégica en agua y clima, explicará los retos a los que se enfrenta Holanda en referencia al cambio climático y como están trabajando para afrontarlo.
Elsa Voorsluijs es ingeniera medioambiental y tiene un MBA. Tiene una amplia experiencia trabajando en los sucesivos proyectos y programas holandeses de adaptación al clima. Por ejemplo el programa Room for the River (Espacio para el Río) con el cual se cambió drásticamente la perspectiva sobre la gestión fluvial en Holanda. Haber trabajado como profesional independiente en muchas organizaciones le ha permitido conocer "desde el interior" las diferencias culturales y de perspectiva, implementando su conocimiento en la asesoría estratégica y en la formulación de políticas en materia de adaptación climática y gestión del agua.

The lecturer, strategic advisor on water and climate, will explain the challenges that the Netherlands faces in reference to climate change and how they are working to face it.
Elsa Voorsluijs is an environmental engineer and graduated as a master in bussines administration. She has a long track record in working in the successive projects and programs in the Netherlands that work on climate adaptation. For instance the Room for the River program which drastically changed the perspective on river management in the Netherlands. Having worked in many organizations as an independent professional she knows 'from the inside' about the differences in perspectives and culture, which she uses for point advising and policy making on the subject of climate adaptation and water management.
